Looking after our staff is important to us, so we offer a range of benefits to our staff. Some of the benefits which we offer are:
Career breaks allow you to take an extended period of unpaid leave with an agreement to resume work on a specified date. A career break can last between three months and three years and the scheme is open to all employees with at least one year's service.
Our car benefit scheme is like Netflix for cars. For a fixed monthly amount, you get a shiny new car and then we sort out everything else, including insurance, road tax, replacement tyres, servicing, MOT and breakdown.
This scheme is available after completion of probation period, and varies dependent on salary.
It's faster, healthier and cheaper to cycle to work.
The benefits of commuting to work by bike really do add up. Using our Cycle2Work scheme, you can get a new bike for your commute, saving you money and helping you get fit at the same time. You get to choose the bike you want as well as safety equipment, and repay it through your wages in instalments. Work for us and you’ll qualify for tax free cycling entitlement.
Outside of mandatory training, we offer a vast range of eLearning resources that are available for all staff to further develop their career. This includes, and is not exclusive to courses such as:
- Communication skills
- Complaints handling
- Emotional intelligence
- Kindness into action
and many more.

We have created a Financial Wellbeing interactive guide for all staff so that you’re always up to date on the latest news. This is updated frequently as we find out more offers/information so staff can be assured they’ll always have the latest information.
We've also partnered with Wage Stream to provide our staff with a financial benefit with the goal of improving their financial health. This benefits allows staff to keep track of earnings in real time; give access to wages already earned for a flat fee, whatever the amount; turn pennies into pounds with automatic, easy to set-up savings straight from their salaries; access to an expert financial coach and personalised action plans to help improve their financial situation.
Balance is important to stay healthy and happy at home and at work. We offer a range of flexible working to meet the needs of staff and our services.
We’ll always try to accommodate flexible working through arrangements such as flexitime, special leave, annualised hours, flexible retirement, and career breaks. We also have special leave arrangements for parents, carers, those who adopt, students and those who undertake civic duties

Your health is just as important as those we help as part of our work. We offer a range of benefits to support your health and wellbeing. These include discounts and offers for everything from fitness classes and equipment, discounted gym membership, to breaks away. Some of our sites also have gym facilities for staff use.
We have a great range of services to help you stay in top form, including physiotherapy and counselling services.
We can offer offer staff access to free, fast and confidential psychological support through talking therapies. We work with Keeping Well to provide wellbeing and psychological support to all our staff. This includes quick access to talking therapies by telephone or a live chat function, as well as self-help resources and well as weekly online mindfulness sessions.
Juggling family and working life can be a challenge. We offer our working parents subsidised play schemes, tax-free childcare vouchers and excellent maternity and paternity support.
Childcare vouchers are available to all employees using registered childcare for children aged 0 to 16 years. The vouchers cover most types of childcare. You’re paid a portion of your salary in vouchers and this is exempt from tax and National Insurance contributions.
By joining our team as a member of the NHS you'll have access to hundreds of discounts and savings on everything from High Street stores to restaurants, family holidays and more.
Free Will Service
We've also partnered with will writing specialists to offer staff a free will writing service to help plan the future, protect family and loved ones.
West London Market Place
You'll also have access to The West London Marketplace where staff can give away and sell their unwanted items to other colleagues.
Full time employees are entitled to:
- 27 days annual leave a year
- 29 days after 5 years
- 33 days after 10 years' service.
Staff can reduce their holiday entitlement by up to a week of basic contracted hours or increase it by a maximum of two weeks. By buying additional holiday, your salary is reduced by the number of days purchased. Selling holiday will increase your salary by the number of days sold.
Discounts on holidays and travel
We regularly negotiate great offers for our staff on travel and breaks in the UK and further afield. Details are available on the Trust intranet and in our regular staff updates.
Pay points are expressed in terms of years of experience required to attain the level of pay. This is measured in years from anniversary of your appointment with us.
The NHS pension scheme is well regarded. NHS employers also contribute an extra 14.3% of your pay to help meet the cost of your pension. Staff can opt out the scheme at any time during their employment in the NHS.
We offer a preceptorship programme that runs for six months. This covers both a theory and reflective practice, and runs for one day per month. This is a supportive programme, where you are guided through this course by the Trust.
We think our staff are pretty amazing. So we find lots of opportunities to recognise good work with schemes like Employee and Team of the Month, our annual Quality Awards and the Local Clinical Excellence Awards.
Staff are also presented with long service awards and vouchers.
We also have our Promotion Praise and Promise scheme - which was a winner of a HPMA award in 2021 - where all internal promotions receive special recognition from our Chief Executive Officer.
We've partner with Each Person Ltd. to offer staff an easy to use peer-to-peer recognition platform called Praise, which allows staff to quickly send eCards to their colleagues.
We offer a generous relocation package of up to £8,000 for some new employees (including nurses) who are moving 40 miles or more.

The Trust recognises the importance of promoting the work we do and the careers we offer to school/college age students. We have various work experience opportunities to enable both students and sponsors to reflect and learn from the experience. These can be offered both virtually and through on-site placement.
