Balraj Basra is a domestic supervisor, working in the men’s medium secure unit on the St Bernard’s Hospital site.
He began work at the Trust as a domestic assistant, progressing to domestic supervisor, having completed a range of training to enable him to support his team of 20 more effectively.
In February 2020, Balraj won the leadership category in the Unsung Hero Awards - a national award for non-medical and non-clinical NHS staff and volunteers.
