Broadmoor Hospital redevelopment

Phase 2 of the redevelopment project is underway and includes:

• Constructing the green park -  the new horticultural area
• Developing an outdoor multi use games area
• Completing final landscaping for the new hospital.  

Only a small section of the old hospital site is needed for the development of phase 2 of the redevelopment. The remaining buildings will be sold at a later date. 

In order to begin the phase 2 construction, part of the old site has been cleared with the demolition of some of the old buildings, none of which were listed.

• Underground works have been completed to remove redundant services
• Earthworks have been completed to level out the site
• Preparation for the construction of the new buildings has started
• Decommissioning of the redundant buildings is underway. This involves isolating services, removing technical systems and equipment and ensuring that the listed buildings are maintained prior to sale.
